What I was About to Say

I’ve often written

about becoming old.

And for sure it is

not for the faint

of heart. Better

than the alternative,

I suppose.

When I began

this diatribe

of mine, I had

but two points

to make, and

it only took

14, 15, 16, 17, 18

short lines

to forget

all three of them.

I just hate

when that happens.
