Even
if you could, you would not pay 40-million
dollars
for a Picasso original.
Even
if you were able, you would not climb to the
pinnacle
of Mt. Everest.
Had
you the will and ability, you wouldn’t build a
skyscraper
in your own backyard.
Some
milk cows in the morning, some pave roadways
in
the searing summer’s heat. But not you.
There
are just some things you would not
nor
could
ever
do, not for love nor money.
Even
on a good day, and even if you could, you would
not
eat thirty hot dogs in one sitting.
You
thought it was a waste of money to pay $100,000
to
have Pavarotti sing arias from famous operas.
Can
you dance an Irish stepdance, play a Greek bouzouki,
or
sing Moscow Nights in Russian?
Of
course not. Besides, so many of these and other activities
are
absurd, you say. No one said this was going to be easy.
Try
something simple, sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
Would
you like me to hum a few bars to get you started?
