Rules.
Ever wonder who sets them, he or she,
fair
or foul? Whether game or in another realm
of
make believe or reality.
Rules,
whatever they are meant to achieve,
we
are dictated to follow.
I
would like to confront the makers and breakers
face-to-face.
Sometimes
I find I have the need for answers,
why
is it that I am required by law to comply?
Give
me a good solid rational, I plead. I need to know why?
Who
wins or loses according to the rules? Is there either
a
rhyme or reason which applies?
I
implore you, why? Give me a calculable means of measured
logic
exercised.
Is
it a matter of aces over jacks in hand, or a 7/11 roll
of
the dice?
Besides,
who in hell made the rule, 70 miles per hour is as fast
as
I am allowed to drive? (The speedometer indicates
capabilities
up to 120 mph).
There
is no speed limit in Germany on the Autobahn
where
some clain fewer people die.
So
smarty pants, I’d really like to know who’s the
wise
guy or gal in charge around here?
I
need answers and someone to blame for these
unconscionable
games being played?
If
the rule that a symphony is required to have three
movements
applies, then why is it I sit atop the pot
high
and dry on any given day as I struggle and strain
to
have just one?
Who’s
to blame for that? I need to know. I plead for
an
answer, why?
Sometimes I find prune juices helps, symphonies
not so much.
Sometimes I find prune juices helps, symphonies
not so much.
