Science is out there everywhere

doing what science does, controlling

everything from starlight to trilobite,

graphite to parasite. Science explains

change, the way things are, what is

and all which has been or shall ever

come to be.

Science, my friends, explains you and

me. It pulls the string of every living

thing, the animate and inanimate as

well.

We need science, it’s the academic fuel

for the engine, the get-up-and-go gear

works of existence.

Science, from astronomy to trigonom-

etry, from entomology to psychology,

is the streaming thought waves through-

out humanity. From horse races to

baking cookies, the first and last licks

of a lollipop, science explains what

makes Einstein, Beethoven, Brady

and Putin tick. It defines why two

plus two equals four, explains the

composition of everything from a

neutron to a galaxy, explicates the

difference between neuro and Nero.

Without science, where in or out

of this world would we be?

Science makes boats float, humans

emote, cheetahs run, cannons fire,

It’s the psychosis of Trump-like folks

which makes them goddamned liars.

Why, even faucets drip, drip, drip

scientifically.

Women become impregnated and give

birth to babies. Science reveals the mystery.

It opens doors to the great unknown, makes

sense of all the languages ever spoken.

Science applies appropriately to damn near

everything.

Without science nothing would be

substantiated by reality with fact or

in hypothesis theoretically.

Think of all the check books which would

remain unbalanced without math; all the

flat tires which go uninflated sans physics.

Lordy, what about your feet being grounded

gravitationally? Where or what would all of

us be anatomically without biology?

Why, each god or deity, each religion of

itself would have never come into being

without an existential supernatural ima-

gining to fulfill a need.

And gross as it seems, I need it explained

to me, why a turd is able to float a punch

bowl, let alone enlighten me scientifically,

how on earth it happened to get there?

I sure hope quantum physics has nothing to

do with that. Quantum physics is a wasted

study of energy and matter for a scientific

imbecile such as I happen to be.
