William
Wallace in a motion picture became known as “Braveheart”
In
baseball, The St. Louis Cardinal’s Stan Musial was “The Man”
And
in boxing, Mohammad Ali was “The Greatest”
George
Herman Ruth, they called him “Babe”
It
was Alexander
“The
Great” of
Macedon
Richard
Nixon was
amusingly
refered to as
“Tricky Dick”
Elvis
Presley was
no
doubt
“The King of Rock 'n' Roll”
Hands
down, Aretha
Franklin was
“The Queen of Soul”
William
Shakespeare was
called
“The
Bard of Avon”
Charlie
Chaplin was
affectionately
refered to as “The
Little Tramp”
Thomas
Alva Edison was
hailed
as
“The Wizard of Menlo Park”
Emily
Dickinson poetically
fitting
was
“The Belle of Amherst”
Pythagoras
(570-495 BC) was called the "Father of Numbers"
And
in
grammar school,
I was called “Shithead” by some
of my
classmates.
As
an adult, I was frequently called out as a
“Son-of-a-bitch”
by my
former wives.
At
birth, I
was the only one of three siblings
our
mother did not give
a
middle
name because she thought my
first name
“Christopher”
was
long enough.
A
few times when I grew older my dad did
called me
”Old Buddy.”
(I
suppose it was easier than saying Christopher all the time.)
And
when
he died at age 89, that was the end of that.
-30-
