One of Those Days

Gopher goo,

blue bird blue,

rascal raccoon

on the run,

chipmunks

having fun.

Squirrelly squirrels

leaps and bounds,

worms worming

subterranean

ground, a fox

fidgets with the

hen house lock,

bear berries

are in stock.

Only nature

knows where

the deer trail

goes. Humming

birds fly up

your nose.

More gopher goo

you step into.
You choose

inconsequential

platitudes.

Finally find

the rhyme

to reason you

been searching

for. Satisfied?

You had the

feeling it was

going to

be one of those

days when you

left home

this morning,

didn’t you?
