If You Could Have Been

If you could have been born in another place in time,

where and when would that be? Perhaps you are an

old soul born too late to make a difference. Perhaps

a previous epoch or century and in another country

would have been more suitable for the likes of you

temperamentally. I myself, as with many others have

achieved old soul status by virtue of body and mind

which by date and time happened to me unwittingly

along the way. I would give you some age-old and

sage advice, but living one day at a time would be

all I could pass on to you. It has been proven to be

a method tried and true. You just never know your

place in time until you have arrived. What difference

would a century or two either way make anyway? Take

me for instance, I may have been king in another place

in time, but turns out that was way too lofty a calling

for me— Perhaps even King George the Third, having

it made in the shade, but notwithstanding, and histor-

ically speaking, loony as could be. Without the crown-

ing glory, and situated a peon here in my rightful place

and time, that would be me.
