After
reviewing the photographs I have taken over
The past
forty-years, I see a definite pattern in the
Subject matter
which has held my interest from the
Day I began
taking pictures. Oh, there are street-
scapes taken
in cities I’ve visited in my travels. Coun-
try landscapes,
mountains and oceans, sunsets at
Home and abroad
are well represented in my collec-
tion, only a
few of which are worthy of recognition.
My
philosophy on photography has always been, take
A slew of
shots, and eventually you’re bound, sooner
Or later, to
capture that award-winning scene, the one
Worthy of
framing and hanging on your living room or
Office wall,
the magnetic view which prompts the awe-
struck visitor
to ask, where on Earth did you take that?
But I must
say that my personal favorite photographs
Are those of
people from all walks of life, the young and
the old, people
of every color, shape and size. Our world
Has such an abundance
and variety of people, people I
Have known,
people I will never get to know, people here,
There and
everywhere, people yesterday, today and to-
morrow,
people, each one a long-lost brother and sister,
Uniquely special,
individually wrapped, people of the Earth,
People you and
me, people, the topic of choice conversa-
tion,
people, the Landscape of Man hopefully long after
I’m gone.
I’m gone.
