Today, I
surrender all the words I shall not say.
This poem
will eliminate only a very few. I
Could think
of several more, but what’s the
Use.
Words are
cheaper by the dozen and most
Will abuse
their usage anyway. When some-
one bids
you, good day, what is it they are
Actually
trying to say?
Even should
I take it for face value; will that
Really
improve the day I’m already having?
What
difference will another word or two
Really make?
Surely, no
empires will crumble and none shall
Be made with
the multitude of words I choose
to surrender
today. But then, I am not they only
One who has nothing much to say.
