Accurately take measure of me from head to
toe these days, and know the only way I have
managed to survive is growing old.
My friends, I’m losing this lifelong battle
numerically. I have become a fraction of
the person I once used to be.
While gaining in years, I see the reduction
of me physically and cognitively. Virtually, I am
being shrink-wrapped biologically.
In addition to the math and physics there is
the psychology which also has a deleterious
affect on my survivability.
Speaking scientifically, and if accounted for
numerically, the days I have amassed on Earth
have unquestionably affected me exponentially.
And it has become painfully apparent to me that
being bound in place gravitationally, I feel
as if my dilapidated framework is certainly
pulling more than 1G at the ripening age of 73.
Ah, but what’s a poor body to do when science
has got a hold on you?
