Things I have done over
a lifetime; things I have not
done nor will ever do.
I have somehow managed
to make it this far, all the
way through the yesterdays
up until the one and only
today. It’s useless to say
I have made a name for
myself.
My name without question
has consistently never
changed. The Universe is
filled with unnamed planets
and stars.
They have no need to be
discovered for they are
what they are, made
from the stuff of all the
others.
How many have existed
and then ceased to be
without discovery? All
the same just like you
and me, headed for the
grave like everyone and
everything else, nameless
with all these untold secrets
to keep.
And those yet to come
are bound to follow
the same.
