Whose Choice to Choose?

I am no authority. It’s not

up to me to choose winners

and losers. You see, I am no

movie critic whose opinion

is to be valued over another.

I am not a Simon Cowell who

has a say in that talent who

makes it to the next round of

competition.

Some claim Michael Jordan

is the best basketball player

ever. Others favor LeBron

James. Whose fame is more

famous? Statistics be damned.

There are those who will say,

I just like his style of play.

The majority of viewers

prefer daVinci’s Mona Lisa

over Picasso’s Guernica.

Both are worth more

in monetary value then

most folks are willing or

able to pay.

I like Chinese, you

have a taste for Italian.

So, to resolve the

issue, may I suggest

we go our separate

ways?

Most times when it comes

to decision making, many

will concede, it could go

either way. At the risk of

being cliche, the critics

will insist, beggars can’t

be choosers.

You know that which pisses

me off the most between

you and me? Offering our

thoughts and prayers as

the only resolution to mass

shootings in the USA today.

Now should you be a believer

that God and the Second Amend-

ment of the Constitution will

inevitably remedy the ongoing

tragedies, you and your beliefs

are proven in reality to be dead

wrong.

It is said in biblical and philoso-

phical terms, God helps those

who help themselves. Congress

take heed, the responsibility to

make meaningful changes to

gun laws in our society today

is literally up to you and me.

Shirk your duty and you too

are culpable.
