76-years for me,
for many others
more or less
than that.
What does
it take to
discover
and develop
who we are
and who we
were really
meant to be?
I tried their way
for many years
while sometimes
I applied mine.
Nearing the
enevitable
finish line
in life
I have found
my way was
best suited for me.
Me, the possibility,
me, the me
I was always
meant to be.
Just ask me
and I’ll tell no lies,
the me I have found
along the way,
aches and pain,
wobbly and gray
with age,
an infinitesimal
speck on the planet,
a speck to be reckoned with
nonetheless,
me
just fine anyway.
Don’t ask,
still just fine,
me the one and only,
me all the same.
I find I sometimes
use commas a lot.
