From Space

From space, the silence, the light, the blue, land mass
rusty hue. Earth seems such a peaceful, serene place.

From the deep and dark vacuum of space, no sight or
sound of war and storm, no sign of stress and pain.

Then the pop-pop clamour of gunshots sound out. And
you awaken in a cold sweat to the horrific news.

Good Lord, when will the mankind slaughter ever end?
This isn’t space, my friend, you are home on Earth again.
