Roll
the dice; it’s a crap shoot some say.
Or
pick a number, red or black. On which
will
the ball of the roulette wheel fall?
Take
a straw, long or short, win or lose
is
determined by the luck of the draw.
Tap
your cards. Hit me you say. Life is a
game
of chance to be played. Dealt a
bad
hand? Cut your losses and walk
away.
There’s always tomorrow, both
the
optimist and addict will claim.
The
Midwestern farmer looks around,
bends
down to the ground, picks up a
handful
of dust, and tosses it into the
air
to know from which direction the
4-winds
blow.
He
can pretty much tell a good day to
plant
or harvest from the bad. A keen eye
toward
the sky, and with a high degree of
probability
he will say— Likely there’s a
95%
chance we’re in for some rain today.
