On Any Given Day

 

On any given day, one player

does not alone win the game.

It takes a team working together

to do that. On any given day

even the best team can loose,

and even the worse team can

and does occasionally win.

On any given day even the

best team can make mistakes

and the worst team can get

the breaks. Winners go home

happy; losers are depressed.

There’s always next time

they will say. Our team won

the championship today.

Hooray! the fans say—good

game, fewer mistakes, some

luck, and teamwork won

the day.
