The
Beginning of the End
Clouds
and rain that
April
spring day
I
was born.
I
had no idea then
that
flowers were
inevitably
to bloom.
Hadn’t
even the slightest
clue
about this life
on
Earth I was born into.
Much
has been learned
since
then (not proper to end
a
sentence with a preposition).
Oh,
the surprises which lie
ahead.
Lightning flash,
then
the thunder.
Not
even one swear word yet
to
describe. In all likelihood,
I
just cried.
As
it tuned out, the rain
on
such a day was a
pretty
damn good sign.
Lots
of flowers,
and
a fair amount of
cursing
since then.
Birth,
rain, lightning, thunder,
a
floral blooming, a tossed salad,
an
entree then dessert.
All
is said and done—The end.
That’s
pretty much it, the story
of
my life here on Earth.
A
few more odds and ends,
a
smattering of ups and downs
thrown
into the mix for good measure.
Isn't it remarkable
how the flowers grow?
