Ode to Alyssum

Alyssum, carpet of snow, one of you is
barely noticable flowering alone. You gather
and grow in great clusters of planning and

propriety, spreading wide petal to petal in
exquisite harmony. You take your botanical
place of splendor and virtuosity accenting

the floral awray you surround with your pillowy
and elegant bouquets. Indeed, you take your
place lining sidewalks which lead the way and

and stimulate the eye. You grace the garden of
life with your beauty and simplicity. Alyssum,
I sould not be as pure and lovely should there

be ten-thousand of me. You make the blooming
rose above you near perfect.
