We
are all artists, my friend. There
are
those who paint their lives with
broad
and sweeping strokes. Others
dab
sparsely here and there, leaving
space
for interpretation. Some fill
their
canvasses with havoc and
calculated
confusion like Pollock, who
had
the tendancy to liberally pour
his
colors, splash and slash them on.
I
prefer the impressionistic approach,
you
know, those Monet strokes, fuzzy
up
close with a clearer view the farther
away
you move. You see, don’t you,
in
the abstract I mean? But as for me,
I
would say, artistically, Picasso had
the
key—paint what you feel. What
you
actually see is deceptive, as hell,
and
not anywhere close to reality. You
claim
you’re not artistic; say you can’t
even
draw a straight line...Well ,my
friend,
I use a ruler to render mine.
