Clean Sweep

No matter the time nor the place,

and to hell with histories summarily

whisked away.

Old black-robed women have

duteously swept dust from doorsteps

for hundreds of years.

While history is made with each passing
day, only the present, the dust, and old
black-robed women sweeping remain.
