The Somebody Me

I got to thinking about the world.

Then, of course, my thinking led

to me.

It is all about the world, of course,

which then leads one to one’s self

personally.

Lucky me, I got to thinking, and

perhaps not so lucky you. I have

never been bombed or shot.

I have never gone hungry or been

imprisoned rightfully or wrongfully

so.

I never was, but could have been one

who did not have, one of so many to

be thankful for a simple bowl of rice.
